Amar Hall in Dartford hosted a charity curry night to raise funds for the current Mayor John Burrell’s chosen charities. The function hall have put on their well-attended curry nights for many Mayors in Dartford and have always had a great response from those in attendance with many local Dartfordians returning each year.
The evening consisted of a three-course meal served buffet-style with a range of different foods and flavours on offer. A DJ was on hand to get the party into full swing after the meal with a mix of both Indian and English chart music being played throughout.
The Mayor and Mayoress of Dartford also held a raffle with prizes including bottles of wine and gift sets. The raffle was well received with all those in attendance digging deep into their pockets to help the causes supported by John Burrell and his wife Eija.
The night concluded with a cheque presentation with Amar Hall handing a cheque for £600.00 to the Mayor of Dartford which will go a long way to supporting the Arrow Riding Centre, Cancer Research UK, Darent Valley Hospital Cancer Fighting Fund and Children's Diabetes Unit as well as ellenor.
On behalf of the Sandhu Family, Amar Hall and Mobile Bar Hire Ltd Rags Sandhu said, ‘it is always a pleasure to put on a fundraiser for the Mayor of Dartford.
